This year we’re forgoing a theme to focus on celebrating University of Iowa traditions past, present, and future.

Purchase official University of Iowa Homecoming merchandise at the Hawk Shop located on the ground floor of the Iowa Memorial Union or buy online here.

Starting in 1924, the tradition of Homecoming buttons began with each year featuring a unique design that reflected the vibrant Hawkeye spirit of that time. Over the last century, these buttons have become cherished collectors items for Hawkeyes worldwide, each celebrating the University of Iowa’s rich history and cherished traditions.

The university proudly displays all 100 buttons in the Iowa Memorial Union and on the Homecoming website. This special collection reflects the creativity, passion, and pride of the Hawkeye community through the decades.

In celebration of this remarkable 100-year journey, the 2024 button honors the inaugural 1924 design, merging tradition with a modern touch for the centennial.

As we celebrate this century-long legacy, we look forward to the next 100 years of Homecoming traditions and Hawkeye triumphs! Go Hawks!
